JUNIOR SCHOOL THANKSGIVING ASSEMBLY
Description:
Classes 2, 3 and 4
students of Junior school presented a formal Thanksgiving prayer service and
also wished students of class 5 as they got ready to move into the next step in
their life,"The Middle School".
The Thanksgiving Assembly
began with a solemn prayer service invoking the almighty for all the blessings
he has bestowed on every student during the academic year 2023-24. The
programme was indeed a musical with melodious songs and a PowerPoint presentation
on all the activities that were held in junior school during this academic year
that created beautiful memories especially of the musical ‘Mowgli the man cub’.
Students also presented a short skit on how a caterpillar transforms into a
beautiful butterfly and prepares itself to fly out of its safe cocoon and face
the challenges of the world outside. Class 5 Students were lead to take an oath
by Mrs Shalita Roychowdhury remembering the values that they have learnt and thanking
all the junior school teachers for their support and encouragement. Finally
there was a prize distribution ceremony in which Class 5B won the award for ‘Best
Class in Correct School Uniform’ and Class Prep A won two awards for ‘Best
Class for Bulletin Boards and Cleanliness’, Walsh House won the Award for Best
House for Discipline’. Our Principal Mrs Alice Rose D’Lima addressed the
students and told them about the importance of growing up and moving ahead in
life and how significant it is to be strong in their Loreto values given by our
foundress Mary Ward, wherever they go. She also congratulated students of class
V on the completion of their enriching journey in Junior School. The programme
ended with all the students singing the Loreto chorus. Everyone thanked the junior
school teachers and students for the warm and memorable Thanksgiving Assembly
for the year 2023-24.
